Abstract

Developing effective practice guidelines on how to deal with assessed work completed in Welsh where qualifications are not offered bilingually Through desk-based research, we would like the supplier to identify examples of effective practice within the Welsh qualification system and education system more widely of facilitating the completion of assessments through the medium of Welsh. This includes the systems and processes that are in place for dealing with such requests, and to outline those findings in a report to Qualifications Wales. Secondly, we want the supplier to produce a detailed effective practice guidance document, including relevant and appropriate resources to support awarding bodies on the effective management of work completed in Welsh where the qualification is not currently offered bilingually. This guidance document should include examples of good practice identified as part of this project.
