This service will provide additional MMR vaccinations using a targeted approach delivered in GP surgeries across the Rumworth and Central Wards of Bolton. The authority seek to appoint a provider with local knowledge who has built up key relationships with hard to reach groups, engaging with the voluntary sector and has the ability to meet some tight timescales.
It is the intention of the Council to award this contract under the most suitable provider process
The lifetime of the project is for an initial period of 1 year. This is a new service and a new provider and it is anticipated that the service will be provided between 01.09.24 - 31.08.25. The lifetime value (1 year) of this contract is £42,985

Explanation
'This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The publication of this notice marks the start of the standstill period. Representations by providers must be made to decision makers by 28.04.24. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award under the PSR'.
The provider 'GP Federation' is most suitable to provide overarching guidance of this service, is rooted in the heart of Bolton and has links with all GP surgeries. The organisation has strong links to the Voluntary Sector and has the ability to mobilise the service due to tight deadlines associated with having to deal with the increase in MMR nationally.
