Abstract

CHUMS offers an all-age suicide bereavement service across Hertfordshire and West Essex, supporting anyone affected by suicide. The service provides timely emotional and practical support to reduce the risk of further harm, including identifying and assisting others close to the bereaved-such as family, friends, and professionals. It also works in partnership with other organisations, using a risk management plan developed by Hertfordshire Public Health to ensure individuals receive the most appropriate care for their needs.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement

Hertfordshire County Council has a requirement for a suicide bereavement support service.

The Council is intending to award this contract to our existing provider following Direct Award Process C under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR.)

The contract will commence on 1st September 2025 until 31st August 2026 with the option to extend for one (1) year, plus one (1) year, plus one (1) year.

The approximate life time value of this contract is stated in II.1.7 above and includes the value of any possible extensions.
