Abstract

Amgueddfa Cymru seeks to procure services to conduct a Capital Funding Feasibility Study for the consideration of potential options for the redevelopment of National Museum Cardiff. The consideration for this redevelopment is currently at the first stage of the Welsh Government business case development stage (Strategic Outline Case) and explores variable options for the potential redevelopment. A capital funding feasibility study is now required to critically examine the likelihood of securing funding with recommendations of a strategy to best achieve any likelihood. This is the next essential step in developing the financial case for the project, which will support the overall business case. We are currently seeking to procure support to review a selection of the options, and to report on the feasibility and strategy for their funding. Work is to be conducted from September 2025, through to end of March 2026.
