Engagement process description
The Welsh Blood Service (WBS) will shortly be going out to tender for new mobile blood donation units with generators and support vehicles. The requirement will be phased over the financial years 26/27 and 27/28.
Ahead of publishing the formal tender opportunity, WBS would like to invite suppliers to participate in a supplier engagement exercise. The purpose of these sessions is to:
• Provide a brief overview of the upcoming requirement.
• Offer suppliers the opportunity to showcase relevant experience and capabilities.
• Allow WBS to better understand market capacity and any potential delivery challenges.
Format: A short virtual session (via MS Teams), including a presentation and discussion, lasting approximately 30–45 minutes per supplier.
