Abstract
North Wales Wildlife Trust seeks quotations for the management of invasive non-native Cotoneaster species at Prestatyn Hillside SSSI, Denbighshire. The contract covers approximately 2 hectares of limestone grassland and cliff habitat. The target area contains dense mature cotoneaster requiring contractors to create access routes through scrub and undertake vegetation management using appropriate control methods including foliar herbicide application, weed wiping, stump treatment and removal of arisings. Contractors must minimise impacts on sensitive habitats and protected species and comply with biosecurity requirements. Site visits are strongly recommended. 3 Conditions for Participation

Minimum standards and qualification required
Bidders must demonstrate experience of invasive non-native species management and habitat management works of a similar nature and scale.
The successful contractor must hold appropriate herbicide application qualifications (PA1 and PA6AW or equivalent), maintain Employers' Liability and Public Liability Insurance with a minimum cover of £5 million, provide suitable risk assessments and method statements, and demonstrate competence in working safely on steep and rocky terrain. Contractors must comply with all relevant health and safety and biosecurity requirements and be able to complete all works by 30 October 2026.
