Explanation
This Contract Award Notice relates to the provision of specialist health services, including the supply of appropriately qualified medical personnel. The services fall within the scope of the health and social care services specified under the Procurement (Scotland) Regulations 2016.
Section 12(1) of the Procurement Reform (Scotland) Act 2014 states that a contracting authority may award a contract for a health or social care service without seeking offers in relation to the proposed contract. Section 12 therefore provides a basis for the award of qualifying health or social care contracts without a prior call for competition.
In addition, CPV 79625000 – Supply services of medical personnel, is listed within Schedule 3 of The Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015.
