• Insulation Adhesive: Renolit Dualfix Adhesive
• Insulation: 150mm Tissue Face PIR
• Membrane Adhesive: Renolit Alkorplan Solvent Free Polyurethene Adhesive
• Membrane: Renolit Alkorplan FA, Reinforced Fleece Backed Membrane
• Trims: Made from Renolit Alkorplan Metal Sheet (1.4mm)
• Abutment: Installation of Leadex
• New UPVC Fascia, Soffit and rainwater goods, including gable extension.
• Skips
• Rooflight: Based on 1.2m x 1.2m Velux. Supply and installation.
• Tree cutting to facilitate works
• Scaffolding

Total quantity or scope of tender
Full replacement of the existing roof system at Swansea Print Workshop, including removal and disposal of existing roof coverings; new roof deck, insulation, vapour control layer and membrane roof system; associated carpentry and roof-timber restructuring; rooflights; flashings, fascias, soffits and rainwater goods; scaffolding; skips and welfare facilities; tree works required to facilitate the works; and installation of a new solar PV system. The works are to be delivered as a single contract in accordance with the tender specification, drawings and pricing schedule.
Tenderers are required to price the complete scope of works and provide a fully itemised tender in accordance with the accompanying specification, drawings and pricing schedule.
Programme- to suit Arts Council of Wales funding requirements. I.e works to be commenced October 2026 and completed by end of November 2026

3 Conditions for Participation

3.1
|
Minimum standards and qualification required
Tenderers must demonstrate that they have the appropriate experience, skills, resources and capacity to undertake the works. Tenderers must:
- Works to be completed under a standard form of building contract.
- Be able to commence the works promptly following contract award, in accordance with the required programme.
- Have relevant experience of delivering roofing replacement and associated construction works of a similar nature and scale.
- Be able to demonstrate appropriate competence and experience in the installation of flat roof systems and associated carpentry works.
- Support the Workshop to comply with Arts Council of Wales' policies and procedures.
- Have appropriate health and safety procedures and arrangements in place.
- Hold appropriate levels of public liability (£2 million cover) and employers' liability insurance.
- Comply with CDM regulations
- Have sufficient resources and capacity to undertake and complete the works within the required programme.
- Be able to provide details of at least two relevant previous projects and client references if requested.
- Comply with all relevant legislation, building regulations, health and safety requirements and applicable industry standards.
Tenderers may be required to provide evidence demonstrating compliance with these conditions as part of their tender submission.

Additional Information
Swansea Print Workshop is an established, volunteer-led, not-for-profit fine art printmaking studio that serves as a vital cultural and community hub in South Wales.
Our studio is well equipped across a range of printmaking processes, including two large-format antique presses that are regularly maintained. We provide a unique resource for printmakers of all levels, from beginners to professionals, functioning as a centre of excellence in printmaking.
