Total quantity or scope of tender

The interactive data tool that we are seeking to build is to support the publication of Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector (HMCI) Annual Report, which provides an overview of standards and performance across education and training in Wales over the past academic year.

As part of the Annual Report, Estyn publishes two data sets:

1. Inspection Outcomes Data (Excel sheet)

2. Summaries of responses to learner and parent questionnaires (PDF)

They key audience for this data are education professionals, such as headteachers, heads of school departments, principals, local authority officers, policy makers and government officials. These stakeholders use the data to benchmark their own school or provider’s progress, help them identify priorities and set strategic objectives.

The development of an online data tool for Estyn aims to offer this data in modern interactive web-based delivery method. This will include the functionality offered as part of the Excel sheet and will also collate and present the data in a more efficient way. It will also be a more user-friendly solution with the aim of encouraging more of the target audience to use the data as intended.
