Additional Information
Social Value: Under the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012 Solihull Community Housing (SCH) must consider:
(a) how what is proposed to be procured might improve the economic, social and environmental well-being of the area where it exercises its functions, and
(b) how, in conducting the process of procurement, it might act with a view to securing that improvement.
Accordingly, the subject matter of the contract has been scoped to take into account the priorities of SCH relating to economic, social and environmental well-being. These priorities are described in the invitation to tender and are reflected in the evaluation criteria for the award of the contract.
Constructionline:
Solihull Community Housing has adopted Constructionline methodology for demonstrating financial risk and technical capability and Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) as its vehicle for health and safety assessment. Constructionline is the UK government owned certification service for construction-related contractors, consultants and material suppliers, and has been developed to save the industry millions of pounds by reducing duplication in the pre-qualification process.
Constructionline registered suppliers need only complete the Solihull Community Housing Questionnaire.
Suppliers not registered with Constructionline will not be precluded from expressing an interest in this contract notice but will need to demonstrate that they meet the pre-qualification requirements. Non-registered suppliers must therefore complete the full Constructionline pre-qualification questionnaire plus the Solihull Community Housing Questionnaire. The answers provided in the PQQ and/or information held by Constructionline will form the basis of the information required for short listing.
Applicants not registered with Constructionline are encouraged to do so as this will simplify the pre-qualification process. Any supplier wishing to register to respond to this advert should contact your dedicated Business Development Manager at Constructionline, Andrew Turner on +44 7860949906 or email andrew.turner2@capita.co.uk at the earliest opportunity to discuss becoming a member of Constructionline or to understand more about SSIP.
