Abstract

The University wishes to transition its Library Management Solution (LMS) from the Ex Libris Aleph solution to an Ex Libris Alma SaaS platform. This product is tightly integrated with existing University business processes and systems. The University has determined that transitioning to an alternative LMS at this time with different technical and operational characteristics may significantly impact on resources and process changes and cause disproportionate disruption to its students and staff. The risks are financial, technical (including information security) and reputational. The University therefore intends to issue a contract to Ex Libris for the move to the Alma SaaS platform for the reasons stated above.
