Abstract

Navigator resource to work with eligible young adult offenders referred to under the project gateway and complete a personalised assessment that identifies critical pathways of need including safeguarding and appropriate risk assessments.

They will liaise with Hampshire Constabulary's partners relevant to each support plan to facilitate appointments and support the delivery of effective referral and recruitment pathways into other agency services.

Contribute to case progress reviews, presenting reports on levels of engagement and motivation of the young adult.

Maintaining confidential reports and case notes, recording intervention plans and risk assessments in accordance with professional and partnership guidelines.

Participating in the monitoring and evaluation of service delivery and service performance against specified standards and targets.

Hampshire Constabulary is the lead authority for the set up of a project gateway for the provision of navigator resource who will engage with young adult offenders, 18 to 24 years at risk of entering the formal justice system by assessing, identifying, and planning critical pathways for intervention to reduce the risk of re-offending.

The navigators will form part of a team managed by Hampshire Constabulary to formulate engagement plans by identifying interventions and ongoing referrals and sign posting to other services to support the young adult to make positive life choices.

These service will be provided under the guidance and control of the chief constable of Hampshire to support the young adults and to access universal, targeted and specialist provision and undertake early help interventions including family support services where appropriate.

Clarifications regarding the ITT must be submitted via in-Tend by 17:00 on the 12.1.2018.
