The Authority is seeking an ambitious and experienced operator for 6 major sporting facilities which are key to maintaining and developing the park’s vision and status as a world class leisure destination. This is a unique opportunity for an operating partner to benefit from the prestige and kudos of running complex, internationally recognised Facilities which have potential for further commercial growth. The Authority intends to procure a new 10 year operator contract, extendable by 5 years, (the Contract) through competitive procurement (with negotiation).

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
The Authority is seeking an ambitious and experienced operator for 6 major sporting facilities which are key to maintaining and developing the park’s vision and status as a world class leisure destination. The Authority is a community focused, commercially driven organisation which, over the last 50 years, has led the transformation of the Lee Valley in London, Essex and Hertfordshire. The Authority is driven by the desire to create a high quality, sustainable, unique visitor destination which is accessible to everyone and helps people improve their mental and physical well-being. This is a unique opportunity for an operating partner to benefit from the prestige and kudos of running complex, internationally recognised Facilities which have potential for further commercial growth. The Authority intends to procure a new 10 year operator contract, extendable by 5 years, (the Contract) through competitive procurement (with negotiation). The Authority wants to engage with operators who share our philosophy ahead of finalising the specification and other contractual documentation, procurement process and timetable. This is so that it can take account of industry views to ensure that the final specification is challenging but achievable and maximises the opportunities for both the Authority and the successful operator.
