Abstract

The contract is for 2 years 11 months with the option to extend for a further 2 year period.

The procurement will be available to view on the Proactis portal on the 10.10.2018.

The basic principles of the open procurement route will be followed to test the capacity, capability and technical competence of Bidders in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. Under the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012 Contracting Authorities must consider:

(a) how what is proposed to be procured might improve the economic, social and environmental well-being of the area where it exercises its functions, and

(b) how, in conducting the process of procurement, it might act with a view to securing that improvement.

North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) working for and on behalf of NHS North Durham, NHS Durham Dales, Easington and Sedgefield, NHS Darlington, NHS Hartlepool and Stockton-On-Tees and NHS South Tees Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) wish to commission a direct access adult hearing service.

The CCGs wish to encourage innovative bids therefore collaborative submissions will be accepted to meet the requirements for this service provision.

The contracting authorities will act in accordance with Part 3 Chapter 5 Regulation 85 to 87 and Regulation 95 of the Public Contract Regulations 2015 (SI 2015 No:102) (PCR 2015).
