In 2017 the Welsh Government published Taking Oral Health Improvement and Dental Services Forward in Wales which outlined the key priorities in dentistry in Wales with dental contract reform identified as a priority. The Welsh Government has since published the strategic document The Oral Health and Dental Services’ Response to A Healthier Wales which provides national policy direction for dentistry in Wales.
