The Welsh Blood Service (WBS) covers South, West, Mid Wales and North Wales.
This specification sets out the requirements of the Welsh Blood Service for the “Electrical” requirements of their facilities.
Talbot Green
Primarily office accommodation with laboratories, a large service yard area with garages and a general storage facility. This facility is the main site for the Welsh Blood Services and houses the senior management team of the Welsh Blood Services, the footprint of the buildings is 6,891m2, with car parking facilities and a lockable compound for the Welsh Blood Services vehicles.
Unit 4 Llanelli Business Park Dafen
The building is used primarily as a training area to accommodate Team staff with a garage area for WBS vehicles and a small Good Manufacturing Practice ( GMP ) store.
The footprint of the building is circa 300m2 with car parking facilities at the front of the building.
Unit 30 Llandegai Industrial Estate Bangor
The building comprises of two storey office accommodations with garage facilities and two internal portacabins, one of these areas is used for a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) critical storage facility. Car parking facilities are also provided. The footprint of the buildings is circa 500m2.
Pembroke House
This houses the Wrexham Team based collections Team, Donor Relations Management staff and operations manager.
The accommodation includes a stock holding unit, which encompass cold rooms, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) critical stores, equipment store and issuing laboratory area.
Parking facilities are provided on the site. The footprint of the building is circa 537m2.
Contract Requirements
The contractor will be responsible for the delivery of the following services:
Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
Statutory Compliance
Emergency Corrective Maintenance Work
24/7 call outs (Re-active maintenance)
The specification documents (North Wales & South Wales) and supporting documentation provide the basis for the initial tendering process and will be used as the reference document for the subsequent contract award.
