VIVID currently have several fire alarm servicing sub-contractors operating within it’s operational area as part of historical spend pre-merger. We would now like to consolidate our contracts and have one fire alarm servicing and maintenance company which will manage our entire housing stock.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
The contract will include the servicing and maintenance of all communal fire detection, fire-fighting equipment, sprinklers, dry risers and fire signage under an agreed annual servicing agreement. Contractors are asked to provide a percentage variation to National Housing Federation Schedule of Rates. In addition, prices will be sought for weekly fire alarm testing, emergency lighting servicing and monthly emergency lighting functional testing, these services are currently carried out by VIVID staff, but we may look to outsource them to the successful contractor following tender evaluation if it provides best value for money.
The prospective contractor will also be expected to price requests for VIVID as a result of an action from a fire risk assessment.

As a result of the merger between First Wessex and Sentinel Housing Associations under which VIVID was created, there will be a period of ongoing structural and operational changes, the outcomes of which may affect this contract. Potential impacts on this contract may be the reduction, increase or cessation of our requirements.
Tenderers should note that VIVID’s stock may vary over the life of the contract due to new acquisitions, new builds or disposals. VIVID reserves the right to amend the contract to accommodate these changes.
