The aim of this contract is to ensure that the councils assets, be they buildings, open spaces, car parks, water course, parks, footpaths and fencing are repaired and replaced, renewed as and when required and that this work is carried out in a competent and professional manner. As part of the service there will be a requirement to provide an out of hours service to further support issues that may arise as a result damage or disrepair to our stock.
This contract is for an initial term of 4 years with the option to extend for a further 4 years. It has an estimated contract value of GBP 1 million per annum.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
The Council will be undertaking a restricted procedure to appoint a single supplier for the provision of minor civil engineering works for Warwick District. The successful supplier will equip itself to undertake the specified works and maintain them fir the contract term. Bidders will be shortlisted if successful in all Pass/Fail criteria and with a minimum of 60 % for scored criteria. Only shortlisted bidders will be invited to submit initial tenders. The ‘Estimated contract value’ provided in this notice is the potential contract value for the entire 8-year term.

This is seen as a long term working arrangement to benefit all involved and the successful suppliers will be expected to work with the Council to ensure all requirements can be fulfilled in a combined and organised manner.
During the course of the contract period the range and scope of these services may be subject to modification and variation as necessary to meet the changing needs and requirements of the Council, changes in legislation and the changing demands placed on the Council by its customers. These changes may include (but are not limited to):
• the identification of additional recipients, not originally captured by the scope of the contract;
• changes in the Council’s priorities;
• opportunities offered by emerging/new technologies;
• environmental opportunities;
• necessary additional products required to maintain the provision but not identified nor not required at the time of tendering.
