II.2.4) Description of the procurement
The supply and regeneration service of Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) and transportation of mobile filter units (MFU's) to and from the Groundwater Plant at Harwell Site and the supplier's treatment site. The GAC is industrial grade and is likely to contain low levels of PCB's. The supplier must have experience and hold the appropriate Environmental Permits and Licenses. The supplier must be able to support a turn-around service of 2 MFU's within 3 days of collection and treat 15 m3 of GAC within each unit. The GAC filter medium must allow 2 000 m3/d through the groundwater plant.
