Description of the goods or services required
2.0 PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS
2.1 Overview: The Neges@Home project will facilitate and coordinate the provision of a local food offer for the self-catering sector e.g. cottages, glamping units, lodges. The project aim is to provide visitors staying in self-catering accommodation in the area with a local food and drink option, which will showcase the breadth of quality producers from the area and provide a sense of place through a range of supporting material.
2.2 We will be working with 7 producers/suppliers across Gwynedd, Anglesey and Conwy to develop 7 innovative food and drink packages. As well as containing local produce, the packages will also contain material that highlight the ‘sense of place’ within the 3 counties. We anticipate that this is the element that will need the most support from a designer. Whilst recognising that each producer/supplier has its own brand and style and will want to implement this into elements of the packaging and supporting material, it is important that there is brand consistency across all materials within the project. Guidance can be provided in relation to the Menter Môn brand values.

2.4 While it is not possible to predict the precise requirement the project, we have separated the work into 3 separate work packages:
I. WP1 - Create design for our packaging where required by suppliers. We propose that we select a standard box and sleeve if suppliers choose to go down this route. Some suppliers may not go down this route where they have their own packaging. This to include producer/supplier branding and sense of place content. Some producers/suppliers might want design support to update their logo to incorporate Neges@Home etc.
II. WP2 - Sense of place content to be included in the packages. Designers would be expected to work with the team and other consultants to identify how the ‘sense of place’ could be communicated e.g. Welsh language, culture, heritage, landscape etc. We would expect the designers to propose innovative and eye-catching designs in order to incorporate the sense of place within the overall Neges@home offer.
III. WP3 - General promotional material to support the project. This to include information to be used in shows, as well as on websites. The Neges@home project will be promoted at events and festivals. Suppliers may need support to create content / promotional material.
2.5 Significant design projects outside the scope of this brief will be procured separately.
2.6 Capacity to deliver: It is important that the appointed company can respond quickly to project requirements. Companies bidding for the work should demonstrate capacity to deliver promptly. We anticipate that the bulk of the work will take place between January and April 2022, but ongoing support will be needed until June 2023.
2.7 Language: Menter Môn is a bilingual company, and the Welsh language is a very important part of the organisation’s culture. All our material is bilingual and equal status is given to both languages. Companies bidding for the work should demonstrate how they will ensure that they can deliver a bilingual service. The Welsh language is a very important part of the ‘sense of place’ element to the project. We aim to present the language in innovative and interesting ways to the customers who we assume will mostly be English speaking visitors coming to the area and are maybe unaware of the language and its importance.
