Extreme urgency brought about by events unforeseeable for the contracting authority and in accordance with the strict conditions stated in the Directive
Explanation
The contract is for the supply of stores support services for the Covid-19 Lighthouse Lab. The contract is due to start 1st January 2022 for a 3 month period until 31st March 2022. It is not proportionate, nor are Medicines Discovery Catapult Ltd able to conduct a competitive procedure under PCR and to ensure the Lighthouse is able to meet the Public needs of the pandemic this short contract is needed to ensure continuity of service.
