The construction of 41 older persons flats and a community centre under a JCT Design and Build Contract with Amendments at the existing Canton Community Centre. The scheme consists of 39 x 1 bed flats, 2 x 2 bed flats, communal facilities, a new community centre and relocated MUGA together with associated car parking, communal garden and access road. All the properties will be built to Welsh Government DQR standards for use as Council rented accommodation.

Due to delays the Contract was not entered into by the Contracting Authority with Encon Construction Limited within the original tender acceptance period and amendments have been required to the form of performance bond to be provided as security for the Contract. The amendments to the bond do not alter the overall rankings of the tender evaluation process with Encon Construction Limited still the highest scoring bidder under the evaluation criteria within the tender documentation. The Contracting Authority therefore intends to enter into Contract with Encon Construction Limited on the above basis following expiry of a 10-calendar day period after the date of publication of this notice
