Abstract

The CAE is a Swansea based charity that works to empower marginalised individuals. In furtherance of our mission to create vibrant communities who are supported to succeed, we have acquired a property which will be the Community Enterprise Hub and a central meeting space for our beneficiaries, the local community and support providers. THE WORK We wish to contract a suitably qualified, experienced and resourced building Contractor to undertake renovations and refurbishment of our building situated on 28 Oxford Street, Swansea, SA1 3AN. The work is to include the clearance of existing services and fittings and the fitting of new services. The scope of the project will also include some external works. In summary, the work comprises: Structural work Asbestos management Renovating ground shop floor into cafe, kitchen and meeting space Replacement of toilets and sinks Flooring, tiling and wall covering as well as plastering and painting Upgrading of electrical small power, lighting, fire alarm and heating systems Redecoration of rooms across 4 floors (including the basement) The CAE recognises the importance of the Welsh language to the communities it serves. Consequently, responses to an invitation to quote or tender will be accepted in Welsh as well as English. However, please note that tender responses submitted only in Welsh will be translated by the organisation into English before consideration. Those involved in translating the document will be barred from taking decisions on awarding tenders. Tender documents may be accessed via the 'documents' tab on Sell2Wales. THE WORK

We wish to contract a suitably qualified, experienced and resourced building Contractor to undertake renovations and refurbishment of our building situated on 28 Oxford Street, Swansea, SA1 3AN.
