The works, supplies or services can be provided only by a particular economic operator for the following reason: absence of competition for technical reasons

Explanation

The procurement of Mk3 Gamma Imaging Systems enables continuity of service for Sellafield's characterisation delivery and removes technical obsolescence issues with the existing Mk2 Gamma Imaging System. The N-Visage Scanner is the only instrument which meets Sellafield's requirements for restricted access through camera inspection ports when delivering site radiometrics characterisation work.

Direct Award utilising Regulation 32 (2) (b) (ii) of the Public Contract Regulations 2015 (PCR) due to competition absent for technical reasons.
