The Council requires a framework of suitably qualified and experienced General Building & Construction Contractors for Disabled Facilities Adaptation Works.
Works will be in occupied, domestic premises (usually owner occupier or privately rented homes) at different individual addresses in various locations across Bradford District.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
he Council requires a framework of suitably qualified and experienced General Building & Construction Contractors for Disabled Facilities Adaptation Works. See Appendix 1 – Specification for full details.
Works will be in occupied, domestic premises (usually owner occupier or privately rented homes) at different individual addresses in various locations across Bradford District.
The works required are small jobs and examples of the typical works that this contract will cover are:-
• Supply and installation of internal / external / handrails / grab rails
• Provision of ramped access to a property and railings
• Supply and installation of showering facilities with the bath remaining in situ
• Supply and installation of showering facilities to include removal of bath, making good to wall plaster, installation of or provision of stepped or level access shower trays for floor coverings.
• Conversion of other rooms into shower / wc rooms
• Installation of wash/dry toilet
• Supply and installation of specialist kitchen facilities
• Alterations to existing internal structure to improve access around the property (widening of door openings etc.).
• Safety works, including safety fencing
