Suffolk County Council intends to conduct a procurement exercise during 2024 to purchase a music service orientated line of business system to continue and improve the support to children’s music engagement. The procured line of business system is to include a CRM (customer relationship Management) that can be tailored for our current requirements, with adaptability for future requirements should these become required. We would like to hear from suppliers offering line of business systems suitable for use by local authority music services (and or Music Hubs) to gain an understanding of the systems available. Please note that the issuing of this PIN is for due diligence and does not constitute any commitment by Suffolk County Council to undertake a subsequent procurement exercise.

SCMS provides instrumental and vocal lessons, instrument hires and a wide range of other musical activities across the county of Suffolk, with a customer base of schools, private individuals (Parents/Carers) and Arts organisations.Due to the changes in Arts Council Funding to Music Services, a longer-term collaboration with other Local Authorities using compatible software may be in scope for future developments. Any procured system will be required to, include but not limited to functionality below:1. A system with secure access for SCMS employees (music teachers, administrative staff), and customers (parents & pupils, and educational establishments).2. Solution to provide a search and discovery website interface with secure login for customers 3. Facility for customers to view, book and pay for a variety of music services online. (End to end process for sales selection of services, shopping cart; checkout, payment, billing)4.
