II.2.4) Description of the procurement
The Council requires a service for the collection, haulage, emptying and return of waste containers filled with residual waste and green waste from its Household Recycling Centres to Council nominated delivery points. The purpose of this PIN is to notify the market of the requirement in the future, as well as reduce the timeframes for tendering once this is live.
Contract Duration
The anticipated contract start date will be 1 April 2024 for an initial period of one year (12 months) with the option for the Council to extend the contract by any period, or periods, up to a maximum of a further four years (48 months). Dates are provisional and may be subject to change at the Council’s absolute discretion.
Estimated Contract Value
The estimated contract value over 5 years is £1,230,000.
Place of Performance
The Council has three Household Recycling Centres at the following locations:-
• Carryduff, 6 Comber Road, Carryduff, BT8 8AN
• The Cutts, Derriaghy, BT17 9HN
• Drumlough, Dromara Road, Hillsborough, BT26 6QA
