Abstract

The current generation of EDS systems available to ECR’s within the core facility are reaching end of life support and need replacing. We are hoping to procure an EDS system to replace the current X-Max that is currently installed on the Jeol 7800F Field Emission Gun Scanning Electron Microscope (FEG-SEM) on Bay Campus. To maintain compatibility and function of other systems said EDS system must be able to work in conjunction with our current Nordlys EBSD, and Wave WDS and the future potential of a Symmetry/Swift detector and Aztec operating system. This system will be delivery to the Advanced Imaging of Materials (AIM) Core Facility on Bay Campus
