Additional Information

Stones are to be riven or frost cleft, not sawn, and edges are to be hand dressed to include a drip at the lower edge. Slates with sawn edges are not to be used.

Stone slates are to be sound existing or second-hand best or be new best slates of type as specified.

New and/or second-hand slates are subject to the prior approval of a representative sample by the Architect (sizes, colours and textures to be within an agreed range).
