Bids may cover any one or more of the elements of the pathway described below. However, we are particularly interested in bids related to community-based support leading to admission avoidance.

Elements of the pathway for which we are seeking bids are as follows:

• Identification and support for autistic people and people with a learning disability who would be RAG Rated as 'Green' on the Birmingham & Solihull Dynamic Support Register.

• Support for children and young people (0-25) who are awaiting a diagnostic assessment for either autism or ADHD (or both).

• Reducing health inequalities by improving access and delivery of healthcare services

Each bid may be for up to a maximum value of £150,000 for up to 18 months of operation of the project. It may be possible to extend the funding for some projects for a further year. However, any extension, would be subject to the availability of ongoing funding and evaluation of the impact against expectations set out in the bid, in the first year. The bids will need to demonstrate how they will lead to improved benefits for BSOL patients as outlined above.

Please submit bids by 5pm on Monday 12th January 2026 to james.lewis25@nhs.net with subject title of covering email as "Learning Disability & Autism Service Development Funding 25/26 Underspend proposal".
