This notice is to inform that BSMHFT are intending to follow the Most Suitable Provider Process in relation to invitations to bid for service developments and innovative projects which align with the priorities set out in the Transformation Group Priority 2 - Admission Avoidance and Discharge Pathways, Priority 3 - Autism Support Offer/Care Pathways, and Priority 5 - Access to Healthcare for autistic people and people with a learning disability
The deadline for bids is close of play Monday 12th January 2026.
Bids may cover any one or more of the elements of the pathway described below. However, we are particularly interested in bids related to community-based support leading to admission avoidance.
Elements of the pathway for which we are seeking bids are as follows:
• Identification and support for autistic people and people with a learning disability who would be RAG Rated as 'Green' on the Birmingham & Solihull Dynamic Support Register.
• Support for children and young people (0-25) who are awaiting a diagnostic assessment for either autism or ADHD (or both).
• Reducing health inequalities by improving access and delivery of healthcare services
Each bid may be for up to a maximum value of £150,000 for up to 18 months of operation of the project. It may be possible to extend the funding for some projects for a further year. However, any extension, would be subject to the availability of ongoing funding and evaluation of the impact against expectations set out in the bid, in the first year. The bids will need to demonstrate how they will lead to improved benefits for BSOL patients as outlined above.

VI.3) Additional information
This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intended approach notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award.
Following evaluation of submitted bids, recommendations will be made to the MHLD&A PC Commissioning Committee to approve successful bids.
The intention is to award a contract using the most suitable provider process.
