Justification for selected award procedure:
The procurement falls outside the scope of application of the Directive
Explanation
Unibox are the UK's largest manufacturer of LED
lightboxes, their technical capabilities and production
facilities along with a team that has the experience and
expertise needed to deliver high-quality solutions that
are engineered to perform according to individual
specifications.
They have worked closely with the Singh Twins; Amrit
and Rabindra to realise their artistic vision on a
number of past projects. By using a tried and trusted
company reduces the risks around working with other
LED display manufactures who are less familiar with
Amrit and Rabindras work and have no prior
experience of successfully helping them realise their
artworks
No reasonable alternative exists as no other supplier
has the prior technical capabilities and collaboration
with the artists to meet these requirements within the
project's timescales.
