Abstract

To provide a safe, secure & timely turn around of plain film x-ray examination reports for examinations undertaken within 2 Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust hospitals. Reports to be undertaken by NHS employed Consultant Radiologists or suitably qualified NHS employed reporting radiographers, using technology that allows remote viewing of images undertaken, & remote access to the Radiology Information System in use at both Hospitals. (CRIS).

All examinations will be undertaken within 2 working days (excluding weekends & Bank Holidays).

Interested companies wil be able to prove a high degree of clinical governance, with proof of audits undertaken on reporting Radiologists/Radiographers.

Proven methods will be in place to support urgent reporting where necessary, & indication of urgent findings. Reporting Radiologists/Radiographers should be available at times to offer verbal feedback to referrers if necessary.

Interested companies will support Radiographers on site within the 2 Community hospitals, by provision of examination protocols, & justification of any unusual requests.

Interested companies will provide the required technology to achieve secure access to images & the Radiology Information System in use.

Additional Information

The Anglia Support Partnership (ASP) serves the NHS and is one of the largest NHS shared services organisations in the country.
