Abstract

Anglian Water are inviting expressions of interest to participate in their strategic sourcing exercise for the purchase of tertiary nitrification system(s) for Anglian Water's (AW) Waste Water Treatment Works (WWTW). The new framework will service the whole of the Anglian Water region and the works will be delivered through Anglian Water's Partners and Alliance which encompasses the core goals of Anglian Water, namely sustainability, carbon reduction, (embodied and operational) and determining solutions based on whole life costs, all of which is achieved through collaborative working.

The new tertiary nitrification system(s) may replace or complement the technologies being used for the removal or reduction of toxic ammonia and solids from the effluent to the prescribed levels as required by the water framework directive as amended, the environment agencies - no deterioration programme as amended, together with Anglian Water's Technical specifications.

The scope of the works will include aftercare, maintenance, service, repair and spare parts.

The estimated requirement is for up to five tertiary nitrification systems although additional systems may be identified.

The commercial model will be based on electronic auctions (e-auctions) or mini-tenders.
