II.1.4) Short description
A cryostat with ample space for samples as well as multiple amplification stages is necessary to perform low noise measurements of sensors as well as enabling low-temperature amplification of voltage metrology devices. This new cryostat is required to provide a larger sample space (— 200 mm diameter) to allow for low temperature amplification stages and more complicated measurement set-ups. Multiple low temperature stages (1 for devices, 1 for amplification would be ideal). Must be a dry system in line with NPLs commercial strategy for dry systems. Set-up would require a minimum of 2 x RF lines. System must have built-in thermometry and temperature control as well as requisite read-out/control electronics.
