Abstract

Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board is looking to establish a contract to engage with private sector health organisations to assist in meeting the referral to treatment target as defined by the Welsh government and Joint Advisory Group on gastrointestinal endoscopy (JAG). The Health Board is therefore seeking to appoint a combination of suitable qualified service providers that can support the Health Board in delivering ENT, general surgery, OMFS and endoscopy primarily from Morriston and Singleton Hospitals located in the Swansea area, although there is the possibility that some work will be delivered from the Princess of Wales Hospital in Bridgend and Neath Port Talbot Hospital located in Port Talbot. For clarity, the Health Board will call off services through the period in question, as required to meet its performance targets, which may involve multiple providers at times, across a range of our hospital sites.
