Abstract
Main purpose of Contract
To supervise and control the day to day requirements of the Tuesday and Friday markets operating in Brecon Market Hall in accordance with the current market regulations. The market is open from 9am until 5pm with traders arriving from 6am to set up and leaving at times up to 7pm.
The successful contractor will be required to enter into a contract with Brecon Town Council and will be required to meet agreed outcomes of management and development of the Tuesday and Friday markets to make the market viable in the long term as part of the regeneration of Brecon Town Centre.
Agreed Outcomes of Contract
1. To increase market traders
2. To increase customer footfall into the market
3. Successful achievement of the ‘Principal Responsibilities of the Contractor’ (full details available in tender pack)
4. Successful achievement of the 'Targets’ (as defined in the tender pack).
The contract is for a fixed term from 1 April 2018 until 31 March 2020 and for a fixed sum of £100 per market day.

Market Development Contractor/Consultant must be suitably qualified and/or experienced. Tender proposals should be made in writing and should be accompanied by the completed Contractor Questionnaire which is available upon request.The application/ tender proposal must clearly identify/provide:
• How the Agreed Outcomes and Principal Responsibilities of the Contractor/Consultant will be delivered.
• Relevant expertise and experience of the Contractor/Consultant.
• Confirmation of the proposed project timetable and available start date of the Contractor/Consultant.
• Full contact details for all correspondence.
• Completed Contractor Questionnaire and relevant documentation.
