II.2.4) Description of the procurement
London Trams requires a Contractor to supply, design, install and test a physical prevention of over-speeding system on the trams and infrastructure on the network. The system should stop trams over-speeding in high risk locations on the network by applying a service brake to bring the tram to a stop. The contract will be over a period of 5 years. This is due to the potential maintenance requirements after the system has been installed. During the 5 year contract period, more systems may need to be installed across the network.
