Abstract
The Welsh Government is looking for a Partner to work with Public Service Boards in Wales to help embed and deliver local wealth building.
The Welsh Government is looking to introduce a new commercial concept based on relational procurement. It looks at strengthening supply chains of goods and services that citizens of Wales are dependent on, to remain healthy, and to prosper in Wales.
In addition to this, Community Wealth Building is a concept that The Client intends to introduce across Wales. The approach targets Welsh Public Service Boards to increase local spend by anchor institutions, thereby creating local wealth, by appointing local companies to provide goods and services to those anchor institutions.
The Welsh Government is seeking to appoint a suitable supplier to offer a methodology and deliver further benefits from procurement, working with Welsh Government, Public Service Boards, and individual Anchor Institutions, building on some of the activities already undertaken [in other innovative procurement programmes, such as Better Jobs Closer to Home] to deliver benefits to the Welsh Citizen.
