Birmingham Children’s Trust (‘the Trust’) is owned by, but independent from Birmingham City Council delivering all family support and social care services for the Council. We exist to make sure that the most disadvantaged children in Birmingham live safe and happy lives and have the opportunity to reach their full potential. To do that we help our staff to reach their full potential, whatever their role in the Trust. We organise our training programmes through the Birmingham Children’s Trust Academy (BCTA), who offer a range of learning and development opportunities designed to challenge and improve the Trust’s workforce. BCTA keep their training top-quality and highly relevant by basing it on a long-standing framework called our learning and practice development approach. All programmes meet the highest professional standards and are continually improved through feedback, new legislation and research.

Birmingham’s Children’s Trust (the Trust is conducting the procurement exercise using the open procedure in accordance with the requirements of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (PCR 2015), the Public Procurement (Amendments, Repeals and Revocations) Regulations 2016 and in accordance with the light touch regime as set out in Schedule 3 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (Annex A) (PCR 2015) in relation to Social, Health and Education services. The contract will be tendered for the following lots:

Lot 2: Leadership and management;
Lot 3: Social work professional offer the contract will be awarded in 3 lots. One supplier will be awarded a contract per contract lot. The same supplier may submit tenders for more than 1 lot and, if successful, be awarded multiple contract lots. The contract will last for 3 years (unless terminated under the terms and conditions of contract) with the provision to extend for up to an additional 3 years subject to requirements and satisfactory performance.
