NHS England have awarded a contract for a Single Immunisation Provider (SIP) for the immunisation of school-aged children in Shropshire (including Telford and Wrekin). The immunisations to be included are:
— Meningococcal C (MenC) — containing vaccine (Meningitis ACWY) Immunisation Programme, years 9 school cohort years. ‘This vaccine should be offered to older unimmunised school aged individuals who may self-refer’,
— Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) Immunisation Programme for girls, years 8 and 9 school cohort years,
— Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) Immunisation Programme for boys, years 8 and 9 school cohort years,
— TD/IPV (Teenage Booster) Immunisation Programme, years 9 school cohort years. ‘This vaccine should be offered to older unimmunised school aged individuals who may self-refer’,
— seasonal influenza immunisation programme for children (AGE) Reception to year 6 school cohort years,
— possible MMR Catch up cohort programme to support the national strategy on elimination of MMR.
