The NHS long term plan sets out a commitment to continue to improve local services for people with learning disability and autism and to ensure that any community support offer includes the right tools for people to be supported in their own homes. As positive behaviour support (PBS) is a key part of this offer, Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge wish to commission a PBS support service to work with professionals, patients and families within the boroughs. The overall aim of the service is to provide a programme of training and specialist expertise in positive behaviour support across BHR, to support people with a learning disability and/or autism and their families to achieve a higher quality of life.
