The cost for providing this metering and billing service will be passed through to residents priced into the heat tariff.
Collected funds from residents will be transferred to the authority on a monthly basis. The appointed contractor will work with the authority to set appropriate tariffs and standing charges on an annual basis to ensure that costs incurred to generate heat costs (such as gas bills) are recovered and reconciled.
