The procurement falls outside the scope of application of the Directive
Explanation:
Bobath therapy is a particular type of intensive therapy technique which was developed by Bobath UK for children with cerebral palsy and related neurological disorders. The treatment modality, has over a number of years, been evaluated and the Centre has taken part in research due to the bespoke tailored treatments offered.
Bobath forms part of the Health Boards in NHS Wales’ pathway of care provided for this group of children and young people ensuring in-depth and intensive therapy sessions over a number of sessions with a combination of physio, occupational and speech and language therapists involved in the specialist treatment.
Due to the specialised therapy involved, the Health Board is issuing this notice applying a 10 day standstill period prior to awarding a one year contract.
