VII.2) Information about modifications
VII.2.1) Description of the modifications
The modification of this contract is in relation to Lot 9. This modification is taking place in relation to application of Regulation 72 1(c) of the PCR 2015.
VII.2.2) Reasons for modification
Need for modification brought about by circumstances which a diligent contracting authority/entity could not foresee
Description of the circumstances which rendered the modification necessary and explanation of the unforeseen nature of these circumstances:
The outbreak and subsequent impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has meant that the models of housing support have needed to change to better meet the needs of the citizens of Carmarthenshire. Carmarthenshire County Council has therefore made the decision to expand three existing services to include housing support based on the Housing First principles. The funding for the expansion of the services will come initially from Welsh Government Phase 2 transitional funding. This will last until 30th March 2021 where it will be replaced by Housing Support Grant funding. Welsh Government has made funding available for this purpose for 2020/21 and it is anticipated that the services will be absorbed into the Housing Support Grant thereafter.
