Abstract

The Council has strong, visible and collaborative leadership which has enabled it to transform itself into a modern and efficient authority and this has been confirmed through recent successful recognition as Best Achieving Council 2014. However we’re not resting on our laurels and we are looking at ways to both sustain and build on our excellence. A significant part of this will be by continuing to focus on our people as our most important asset.

The Council has invested significantly over the past few years in a variety of initiatives to support the health, wellbeing and physical and mental wellbeing of our workforce. This includes a current Occupational Health and Employee Assistance Programme (the contract expires in March 2023) Occupational Health and a series of Health & Wellbeing projects.
