II.2.4) Description of the procurement
CPI requires a platform with both a mechanical arm and autonomous mobility. The specified task involves segregation of sample vials according to predefined criteria, using image analysis. Algorithms for image analysis will be provided by CPI, however the supplier will be expected to support CPI in ensuring that results from the algorithm can be translated into movements using the robotic hardware. Future workflows may require transport of these vials for de-capping and reformatting (e.g. using a liquid handing platform) and potentially, for further analysis. Therefore, ability of the Cobot hardware/software solution to expand and integrate with additional 3rd party devices in the future, and the supplier expertise to support this as part of future work, is essential.
