Abstract

Conwy County Borough Council seeks to appoint a suitable Service Provider to provide an Independent Professional Advocacy service across Conwy and Denbighshire, for adults who are eligible to receive IPA services. Conwy County Borough Council as lead commissioner is procuring the service on behalf of Denbighshire County Council. The contract will be applicable for a period of three years with an option to extend for further two years.

Description of the goods or services required

Conwy County Borough Council seeks to appoint a suitable Service Provider to provide an Independent Professional Advocacy service across Conwy and Denbighshire, for adults who are eligible to receive IPA services. Conwy County Borough Council as lead commissioner is procuring the service on behalf of Denbighshire County Council. The contract will be applicable for a period of three years with an option to extend for further two years.

Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority’s economic and social objectives. Accordingly, contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations. The Community Benefits included in this contract are:

The Provider shall, where relevant to the Service Specification, co-operate with the Council in relation to the economic, social and environmental well-being of their area and shall accordingly notify the Council of any best practice ideas which may improve the same.

The buyer considers that this contract is suitable for consortia bidding.
