II.1.4) Short description

Cumberland Council are procuring Independent Advocacy Services for Adults with Health and Social Care Needs. This tender relates to the area covered by Cumberland Council - Carlisle, Allerdale and Copeland.

The primary role of advocacy services shall be to meet all statutory requirements for the provision of professional independent advocacy.

The Council is looking to appoint a Provider to deliver a Cumberland Advocacy Hub covering the four types of statutory advocacy below:

• Care Act Advocacy (CAA).

• Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA).

• Independent Mental Health Act Advocacy (IMHA)

• NHS Complaints

The initial period of the contract is 3 years. There are two optional extensions of 12 months each. The use of these extensions is at the absolute discretion of the Council.

The contract end date on this notice includes these extension periods.

The estimated annual value of the contract is: £345,800 excluding VAT.

The estimated maximum contract value over the three year term is: £1,090,100 excluding VAT. This includes an estimate of any potential uplifts.

The estimated maximum contract value over the three year term plus the two 12 month optional extensions is: £1,910,700 excluding VAT. This includes an estimate of any potential uplifts.

If the extensions are not used the contract will end on 31st May 2027.
