Abstract

We (Sport Wales) invite seasoned research consultants to participate in a two-year collaboration. The aim is to bring together a range of research, insight, and evaluation expertise under one collaboration, to be readily available to support and deliver on research objectives when required. The collaborative partnership will extend to our valued partners, including local authorities, national governing bodies, and wider partners, looking to help build capacity, capability, and confidence across the sector. We seek diverse expertise from various sectors to enhance our collective ability to harvest insight, as well as monitor and evaluate programmes of work within Sport Wales and across the sector. Across all of the aforementioned responsibilities (as listed in the conditions), we are looking for the consultant(s) to advise on and deliver on a range of research methodologies, which could include but are not limited to: Quantitative Research: including surveys and statistical analysis to quantify trends and impact. Qualitative Research: including in-depth interviews, focus groups, ethnographic studies, and in particular, the use of innovative and creating research methods. Evaluations: including programme evaluations to assess effectiveness and identify areas of improvement, and impact assessments to measure broader effects of sport initiatives within Wales. Stakeholder Engagement: including engaging and working with stakeholders across Wales at various levels, implementing strategies to involve communities to ensure all perspectives are heard and accounted for. Accessibility and Inclusivity Studies: Investigating the accessibility of sport programmes for underserved and diverse populations and identifying ways to enhance participation and the experience. User Research: including the exploration of lived experiences and preferences, and the user experience and journey, with the aim of enhancing sport programmes, delivery, and services.
