Procurement description
This service provides and maintains detailed Access Guides for all Trust departments and wards, ensuring up-to-date, quality-assured accessibility information is available for patients, visitors, and staff. These guides support the Trust’s commitment to inclusion, equality, and exceptional patient experience by helping people with disabilities and access needs to plan their visits with confidence and independence.
The trust requires the service to:
Resurvey 15% (approximately 30) departments or wards each year to ensure information accuracy and reflect estate or service changes.
Conduct in-person accessibility surveys by trained surveyors, applying ISO 9001–accredited quality assurance processes.
Provide updated imagery, including large-format photos and 360° images of accessible toilets, bathrooms, and Changing Places facilities.
Supply annual Guidance Documentation, including RAG-rated accessibility matrices, low-cost improvement recommendations, and best practice guidance reports aligned with BS8300:2018 standards.
Deliver ongoing maintenance, hosting, and data updates for a digital platform and its integration with the Trust’s website.
Provide dedicated project management, including monthly liaison with Estates & Facilities, biannual progress meetings, and promotional support to increase awareness and usage of the Access Guides.
